about me wanted facts
calendar I've been influenced by art for as long as I know. Maybe that's why I'm constantly searching for a creative way to express myself. Photography, graffitti, typography or any other kind of creative expression like digital image processing have marked different phases of my life. I like to say for myself that I'm just a graphic designer during spare time, in addition to the real job every day. I'm doing it just for fun, not for money.
I've been absorbing all of my knowledge through own experiences and hard work, spending a lot of hours in front of computers. I invested a lot in my work and although I'm constantly learning, I have practical experience and certainty in what I do. As a logical result I'm always looking for interesting projects to work on, whenever time & family allowed.
biography
GDRI grew up in Brandenburg a.d. Havel, a small town in East Germany, formerly known as GDR. My first computer was a simple LC-80 to learn more about machine language programming. Later, after the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989 and the german reunion in 1991 I bought a Commodore C-64 with my first own strong currency. Maybe this was one of the happiest moments of my life. Together with my friend Kernal we founded the small demo group TUC to produce scene intros in ancient manner.
One day I upgraded my equipment at first to Amiga 500 and later to the glorious Amiga 1200. This was the real beginning to express the creativity in me. I started to design ASCII graphics, drew monocrome graffiti logos and painted demo graphics for groups like Analog and Desire.

After the sadly death of the Amiga community I sold my technique and purchased a common IBM PC and began to enjoy the huge good software offers. More and more I discovered the power of digital image processing tools like Adobe Photoshop and so on. The results can you now enquire at this handsome portfolio page.
family
Well, but computers are only one side of my life. The most important part claimed of course my family. First of all this is my still not married fiancee called Jette, our adolescent daughter Anja and the best cat on earth ever named Kitty. Latter is male, in spite of his confusing name.

All together we are the properly peaceful environment which I so really need to let blossom my dozing creativity. They giving me generous all the warmth and understanding to do this that I love so much, abandon on so many hours with me. Maybe this is the right place to say thanks for so many tolerance, patience and last but not least such a great love.
